Location

These homes are in the Barbers Hill Schools and many of the homes available, South of Interstate 10 have larger acreage lots with custom built homes. The subdivisions such as Plantation, Southern Plantation, and Barrow Ranch are surrounded by trees and wooded areas.

All of these communities and neighborhoods are located within a 5-15 minute drive from the Barbers Hill Schools - from kindergarten to high school. There are several brand new homes for sale in the new section of Legends Bay just south of I-10. This subdivision is a popular choice with many of the resident because it has a nice park, easy access to Interstate 10, and a low tax rate. Brighton homes is the builder in the subdivision. There are waterfront houses on the south side of I-10 that offer terrific fishing opportunities on Trinity Bay. You can fish for trout, flounder, or red fish and have good luck when you find the perfect spot! The Hugo Boat Ramp is a publicly accessible boat launch that provides access to the bay.

Dining and Entertainment

While many businesses are located across from the school on Eagle Drive, residents south of I-10 still have dining and entertainment opportunities close by. Iguana Joe's is the local favorite for Mexican food and offers a great place to sit down and enjoy an evening dinner. Definitely try their famous green dip! For fast food dining, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, and Freddy's are located off of Hwy 146 a few minutes away. Yepez Vineyard is a fun place to hang out on the weekends while having a glass of wine and relaxing with friends. They have an outdoor covered patio where you can sit and have a picnic, as well as an indoor wine bar to cool off on a hot summer day while selecting your next glass of wine.

Walmart is located on the corner of highway 146 and Interstate 10 for your grocery and shopping needs. The local grocery store on Eagle Drive in Mont Belvieu, Thrif-Tee Food Center, is a good choice to grab a few things when you are in a hurry or picking up the kids from school.
