In 2006 Tye Blackshear founded Blackshear Realty with a mission to provide top tier customer service to his clients, and build a team of knowledgeable REALTORS® with the technology and resources to be successful in the industry.

At Blackshear Realty, we help buyers make smart investments when purchasing a home, and sellers can depend on us to take care of the entire process of selling – from staging to closing. We create lasting relationships with our clients by delivering unmatched customer service.

At Blackshear Realty, we utilize the newest technology available. In 2016, we launched the current version of our website implementing a new app that refreshes listing data every 5 minutes to deliver accurate information to our clients. Our three office locations can be found in Mont Belvieu, Spring, and The Woodlands, Tx. We are a local, family owned real estate company, and this allows us to provide the best service to our clients.  As we move forward in 2023, Blackshear Realty will continue to expand into new areas of Texas and be on the lookout for new agents with values of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

It started when her son, Tye, was still in junior high and she decided to build a business the old-fashioned way: one relationship, one family, and one successful closing at a time. Those early years laid the foundation for what would eventually become a true family legacy.

Today, that legacy is known as Blackshear Realty, the boutique family brokerage founded by her son, Tye Blackshear. Together, they have built a company centered on integrity, personal service, and treating every client like family.

Real estate has become a true family affair. Gaynell works alongside her daughter, Summer Land, whose creativity, eye for design, staging expertise, and modern marketing strategies beautifully complement Gaynell's decades of experience. Summer helps buyers envision possibilities while showcasing sellers' homes in their very best light.

Behind the scenes, Gaynell's oldest daughter also plays an important role, assisting with administrative support and helping produce the educational YouTube content that has become a trusted resource for buyers, sellers, and families relocating to Southeast Texas. And when it's time to install signs, prepare for an open house, or handle the heavier work, her husband—now happily retired—is always there to lend a hand. It truly is a family business in every sense of the word.
