Dayton is located in Liberty County right off of Highway 90 which provides easy and quick access to Houston. Head West on 1960 and you'll reach Atascocita in 25 minutes, and Liberty is only 5 minutes East. There is even direct access to Highway 146, and this highway passes through Mont Belvieu, Baytown, and continues into La Porte and Clear Lake.  The main grocery store nearby is Thrift-tees Food Center. Thrift-tees always supplies the residents with fresh fruits and vegetables, and they have their own butcher to make any special cuts needed. Seafood lovers can make a short 5 minute trip to Liberty to dine in at My Little Kitchen, the best mom and pop restaurant around with an all-you-can-eat buffet. The property tax rate is approximately 2.7%, and many homes in Dayton can be purchased with plenty of acreage so you can feel at home in the country.
